Below is a recent video of a Simplicity Skylight shade we installed in a home in Sea Pines Plantation. You can see where the air conditioning vent is. It was just not enough to cool the room. It needed some help to control the heat.

In this next video, Jeff shows how he tackles a “problem” window using specialty hardware from Hunter Douglas. These are black-out shades used in a bedroom where light control was a consideration.

It’s been a long time coming, but Hunter Douglas has finally added the PoweRise battery motorization technology to their Applause line of honeycomb cellular shades. Here we see them installed in a media room where a black-out fabric was chosen to control the glare of the afternoon setting sun. Radio technology means you don’t have to point and shoot like a television remote that requires a clear like of sight between the remote and the receiver. Radio technology “hears” the signal which can end the frustration of getting the shade to operate properly.
